Sarasota Area's First
Open GMRS Repeater

*PL 141.3*
Welcome to the 462.600 open GMRS Repeater information web site.
At this time the repeater antenna is 30 feet up and running at 24 watts output.
This will all change in time. The antenna will go much higher and the output will
go to the FCC max of 50 watts. At this time the coverage area is from south Sarasota
to just north of 17th St., to the east just to the interstate. This is coverage with a
25 watt mobile using a 1/4 wave antenna. This is a open system, but you still need to
be put on the list of regular user's. Short term or vistors in the area just need
to ask via the radio. At this time a tone of 141.3 is needed to use the repeater, time
will tell if a tone needs to be changed or left alone.

The system owner is Eric with a GMRS call sign of WQKX791.
